Another thought

The product of a successful artist is not what is important.

A successful artist builds a construct for perception to work in the imagination of the audience. The act of creation alone should be the only immediate reward.

But as all parents know, the product of creation is not to be owned. Fruition of creation is the development of the independent mind. So too is the product of the creative process.

Poets build playgrounds for meaning.

On my fridge for months ...

expunge then ask with arid zeal
who sires a fee that cunning
missive make?

languish upon this temporal ebb
our feckless veil, wry and viscous.

was time daft and vapid
like a platitude gilded so?

secrete the temerity of full gall,
trod through and give repose,
lest we spurn self and space.
